Passwords are never stored in plain text
Every password is hashed before it touches the database. Even we can't read it — a forgotten password means a reset link, not a lookup.
Optional two-factor authentication
Turn on an authenticator-app code for sign-in, and repeated failed attempts lock the account for a cool-down period automatically.
We collect the minimum, on purpose
Player date of birth is stored as month and year only — enough to sort juniors from seniors, nothing more precise than that is kept.
